This will be the first cycling event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for ALS in the state of Ohio.
You participation in this inaugural event will be greatly appreciated by all the individuals suffering from ALS. All proceeds will be donated to THE OHIO STATE UNVERSITY WEXNER MEDICAL CENTER - ALS/MND Multidisciplinary Clinic and Research Program led by Dr Stephen J. Kolb and his talented team.
Barry and Dr. Kolb became aquainted in 2020 when Dr Kolb signed up to ride the Colorado Cycle2ConquerALS DEATH RIDE Tour. We all know way to well what happened in 2020 with sporting events. The two stayed in touch and now have brought the Cycle2ConquerALS bike ride to OHIO STATE UNVERSITY and all of Ohio.
Cycle2ConquerALS is part of the three prong series of challenging events put on by Challenge2ConquerALS Inc which is a registered 501c3 Non-Profit, Tax ID 27-1823372.
We are also proud to be a member of the Ohio Bicycle Federation.
There is a $250 minimum fundraising commitment to ride this event. Registration is available for $150 which includes an event jersey and t-shirt or $75 with a jersey and t-shirt.
There will be incentive program called The Stairway to Heaven for reaching higher levels starting at $500, then $750, $1000, $1500 and if you reach $2500 and beyond, you'll receive recongnition at the Expo on Sunday July 11, 2021 and also earn a free night stay at the Hampton Inn for the night of July 10th.
We are very excited to announce the Inaugural OHIO Cycle2ConquerALS that will take place on July 10, 2021. It is a Metric Century Plus 5.1 (67.2 Miles). Plus 5.1 means it is 5.1 miles longer than an official Metric Century (100 Kilometers), which is 62.1 Miles. This will be an out and back ride through the heartland of Ohio leaving from the OHIO STADIUM in Columbus, OH and riding the Olentangy, Camp Chase & Ohio Erie Trails to London, OH and back to the Stadium. The ride will be followed by a Barbecue, Expo & Festival for all participants. Friends and family are invited to the Barbecue, Expo, and Festival with an admission ticket purchase for all over the age of 10. Kids under 10 will be admiited FREE. The cycle event is limited to the first 200 participants
Rest stops will be along the course every 15 miles along with an Aid Station in London, OH where mechanical support will be provided by our Bike Shop Sponsor, Roll Bicycles.
If you are doing the July 10, 2021 Cycle event and also Skydive event at Skydive Greene County on July 11, 2021 and want to stay the night of Saturday 7/10 we have set up a special rate hotel block at the Hampton Inn, 194 Progress Dr, Xenia, OH 45385. 937-347-1029. The Skydive event will start at 8:00 am and is about 63 miles from Ohio Stadium so you may want to spend the night. If you are doing the Cycle event and are coming from out of town, we have blocks set up at the Homewood Suites &
